Audio Guided Meditation:
Food for the Soul
Imagine you get home and you can't wait to just relax and listen to your favorite audio guided meditation. You have just come home from a stressful day, feel depleted, or maybe just a little tired. You pop in a guided meditation CD, and you forget about the world around you. Moments later, the meditation ends and you come back with a new found sense of peace, fulfillment and balance. Meditation is often considered something spiritual, and it is for many people. However, you can use it as described above, to bring in the joy of the present moment and many other
meditation benefits.
My favorite meditations are those on CD with Orin and Daben. They are very spiritual, and a little off the beaten path. Many people have had wonderful experiences with these meditations. I personally prefer anything to do with Orin and Daben as everything about them is so full of love. Love and a sense of peace and fulfillment even seem to jump out of the words from the books they write. Whenever I make sure I meditate, regularly, I feel fulfilled, balanced, at peace, at ease, and full. My love for life is restored.
How Audio Guided Meditation Works
Guided meditation is pretty simple. You start off by sitting or lying down. Relax your entire body. Sometimes it is useful to stretch before meditating. Breathe in and out and follow along with the guided meditation. Once the meditation is over, I recommend journaling your experience, insights or ideas. You may find you were able to get even more out of the meditation than you thought. In time, you can review your journal and see how far you come.
